BACKGROUND

Inspired when family members and close friends were diagnosed with cancer, Amy Camie recorded, NEW LOVE “awaken to yourself”, an enchanting solo harp CD of soothing and relaxing melodies written by artists such as Jim Brickman, David Lanz and Michael Scott. This lyrical and comforting CD has helped thousands of people create an oasis of serenity, peace and harmony.

Amy shared this CD with William Collins, Ph.D., a psychologist and neurotherapist. A pilot study was conducted using Quantitative EEG that showed a dramatic increase in alpha waves and a substantial decrease in beta wave activity of people listening to this music within four minutes. This combination of factors relaxes and calms the brain resulting in a state of relaxation.
