Falling into darkness
Returning to my core
I close my eyes and dream of days gone by

The quiet sounds of nothing
I long to hear again
Releasing all the thoughts that hold my mind

The questions seem unending
And the answers seem to hide
Beneath the shallow veil of my life

I am free when I am dreaming, I am free when I’m awake
The only things that’s stopping me is me

I am free when I am laughing, I am free when I’m alone
My life is what I choose to make

The more I try to push them
The farther back they slide
Urging me to trust what’s deep inside

The swirling winds of chaos
Unearth my deepest fears
Forcing me to face that they exist

Awakening the inside
Preparing to be birthed
Not knowing what this new creation will be

I am free when I am dreaming, I am free when I’m awake

I listen for the silence
In the sounds of daily life
