Today is a day without you

Today all my dreams have changed

If only it could have been different

You would be in my arms today

I miss your gentle touch

I miss your smiling face

I miss the way you looked at me

With eyes so full of grace

Why did you have to go

With so much life to live

To me it seems unfair

With so much more to give

You came into my life

Like an angel on the wind

You opened up my heart

And love flowed from within

I thank you my dear loved one

For showing me the way

You graced me with your presence

If only for a day

For time, there is no reason

For us, we make it up

Each moment is a season…to live…and love

Tomorrow is another day

To live without you near

It hurts inside to feel you

Loving me when you’re not here

My heart, it aches with longing

To hold you in my arms

To feel your gentle breath upon my face

I close my eyes and see you

In the sunset’s afterglow

And dream of when our souls will next embrace

I go on now believing in a love you helped me find

A love to share with others

A love from deep inside

I go on now believing

You are always part of me

Forever in my thoughts and dreams
